Fluffer Nutter By Kings Brewing

J: I gotta say this is one of my favorites, I look forward to it every year. Kings Brewing in Rancho Cucamonga runs the board on Frosés in Southern California, fight me. Fluffer Nutter holds a special place in my heart, it was one of the first Frosés I ever had and I’ve never looked back, the P,B and J in this bad boy hits the palate perfectly. 10 out of 10 for me! Lets see what Chris thinks…

Chris: The Fluffernutter, a sandwich originating from the regions of New England in America. The sandwich itself is an icon, throwing this icon into beer form may or may not be a mistake. At first glance the deep purple color might give this the impression of any old smoothie style beer but its anything but. This gives off sweet and sour tang with the slightest hint of peanut butter. Honestly I’ve had this beer a few times and to me it seems they toned it down on the peanut butter, where before i found it overpowering, today I give this a solid 7/10.

Mira: I’ll admit I’m not a big fan of peanut butter, with the exception of a good PB&J. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a pour of Fluffer Nutter, and to my recollection, this was probably one the the first Frosés I had ever tried and remember absolutely enjoying it. Today, however, Fluffer Nutter hit differently. A dark, deep mauve color, not as thick as I remember, with a heavy peanut butter wafer scent. The flavor of peanut butter is lighter than expected and the taste of berry leaves a subtle tartness on your palate. I wasn’t as excited for it this time around…
