Jammy Pants By Great Notion

WELL DESERVED!!!

C: We’ve all been there. You’ve had a a crap week of work and all you want is to relax. You might even be too tired to even get a drink. That’s how I felt today. I really didn’t even want to do a review, but a little encouragement from the other Reavers got me going. I’m glad I’m here today. Jammy Pants! One of my absolute favorite beers is on the review list. The mastermind at Great Notion was really in the zone when he thought of this brew. I LOVE tart ales and this one would be text book definition of the style. The smell is a perfect combination of hops and fruit, it radiates tartness. Taste wise, I couldn’t tell you if black currant or boysenberry are more prominent, I’ve never had the opportunity to try either, but they’re obviously tasty. I can honestly keep ranting about how much I like this beer, but then the other Reavers wouldn’t have anything to say. So I’ll just say, Great Notion, you have earned one of my coveted 5 Crushed Can reviews.

No Emotion for Great Notion

M: Can a beer not be bad, but also leave me unimpressed? That’s this beer. Not too tart, which is great, and I’m drinking it at room temp, which isn’t bad, it’s just “ok”. Doesn’t lack in flavor, but it also doesn’t leave me wanting more. Let’s just say, Jammy Pants doesn’t leave me feeling Jammy in my Pants.

J: I gotta say Great Notion’s got the lock on tarts, for me this is as good as it gets. Jammy’s not too tart and has just the right amount of sweet with no bitter after taste, just an all around great beer. I don’t know what black currant is but if it’s in a beer, iI know t’s gonna be delicious. Great Notion has great can art too and this one’s gotta be my favorite, the man on the can literally has a bunch of berries shoved down his pants, its pure magic. 5 out of 5 for me, I put tart ales up there with sours and smoothies as some of my favorite beers.
