I got the Power!

C: Oh man, I think we’ve all been there, when you’re in your favorite liquor store shopping for a beer after work and instead of getting something you think tastes good you disregard your tastebuds and just shoot for the beer with the highest ABV. Thats exactly what happened to me when I grabbed this power brew. I felt pretty confident snagging this because I’m familiar with El Segundo Brewing.

Ive had their Broken Skull beer more than a few times and find it quite enjoyable. Today though, man this was a tough beer, at 13 percent I kid you not I got goosebumps at first sip.

Aside from that this beer has a real pungent taste with an almost sweet finish at the back of the tongue. Now would I say this is a beer that I consider a daily drinker, no, not at all but if you had a rough week at work and want something with a bit of a bite I consider this a go to beer for you. At under 6 bucks for a can it works for almost any budget.

M: Harsh. Hoppy and harsh. I don’t mind IPA‘s, but this quadruple, 13.1%, SOB is a hard one to swallow. Someone get me a shot of whiskey to chase this, please?! Nope, can’t do it, too much power in this plant.

Oh the Power!

J: My first reaction was yikes! I enjoy a super boozy powerful beer, this one is no exception but damn I can still taste alcohol on my tongue.

Half way through we had a shot of Jameson and it went down smoother than this beer. Overall though, for my first Quadruple (that I can recall) not bad. An excellent opener to a night of binge drinking. Recommended for anyone trying to get shit hammered. Drink Responsibly.
