J: My first surprise with this beer came when I was pouring it, it’s literally gray in color, light gray, wild. I haven’t had many beers from RaR but all the ones I have had are from the Out of Order series. This beer is right up my alley, I love sours, its a little on the lighter side for a sour but still pleasant, its made with watermelon and lactose which doesn’t sound great together but they make it work. Super easy drinker, one thumb up.
M: This beer looks like it came from a kid who just finished painting in black and white, took their cheap little paint brushes and swirled them in a glass of water to rinse them. Gray beer? Who would’ve thunk. It has lactose, so makes sense. It looks milky, smells like a sour, which it is, and tastes amazing. I’m not a fan of most sours, but this one I like. It’s a beautiful mixture of sweet and sour, more sweet than sour, thankfully.
C: I love me a good sour beer, but this beer is more on the sweet side than it is sour so not quite what I was expecting. Personally i cant pinpoint any discernible flavors, I can only say it tastes good, if I had to say I can taste the pastry cream which gives off a nice subtle flavor. As the above statements mention this beer is gray, but the kind of gray that you get from a bar mat at the end of the night. At the end of the day if you have a sweet tooth and you’re craving a beer at the same time this is something I would recommend you, I give this a 4 out of 5.
